Russian Aria Resource
Having been born into a Russian-American family, Fotina has always had a special place in her heart for the music of her family's ancestral homeland. Fotina created a database of diction guides for arias to make the beautiful, rich Russian operatic repertoire more accessible to non-native speakers.
Diction guides include International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) transcriptions, translations, links to syllabic readings and sheet music with IPA.
This project was sponsored by a Fulbright Fellowship, which Fotina completed in St. Petersburg, Russia, at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory.
